Group 2 Fractoplace
Hi everyone,
So it seems that our work is finally coming together! I added about 6 slides tonight and made some minor edits on a few others. I plan to have all my slides completed by tomorrow night so I can spend the remainder of our time making edits and polishing the presentation. It seems that our initial slides were created using lower-case for all words except for proper nouns with the Courier New font. I used this formatting for the slides that I created to keep things consistent – does this work for everyone else too? I think it looks kinda cool and jives with the flow of our project, so kudos and thanks to whoever started it. I’m assuming that we’re just working on the slides that we signed up for, correct? If any presenters are swamped and need me to post their slides for them I’m happy to do so – just let me know!
Are we all meeting at 8:00 tomorrow? I think it would be great to touch base before we head into the final stretch. All in all, we’re on the right track and things are coming together well. My only question is on videos. Have we decided who is going to create them? I can make one if we need another; I’m just a little confused as to who’s doing what in this regard.
See you tomorrow!

The WIKI is coming together really nicely. Great work!
Have we decided what videos we wanted to include? I saw Stephanies on Geotagging, but what else might we still want to include? I thought we nixed the idea of doing short pieces for Metaplace?

from the email earlier sent:
i have mentioned this before but here is an article talking about how metaplace can be embeded within a blog – players can play within the blog. so metaplace (or Fractorplace) could feasibly be worked into Moodle or other LMS with blog capacity – might want to mention in the presentation.

mike – we decided that 2 or 3 short (30-60 sec) videos would be fine to incorporate into the presentation.
though i am not sure that is going to happen…
i can easily make a short pictorial video with some simple narration – let me know!!!!

I think we’ve got a good # of slides up there now, I also made some minor changes but overall it’s looking really good….I do think we should still add one or two videos. I was thinking that since Ozan can’t be there, he can send us a very brief video containing the explanation for his game. What do you guys think? Ozan, is that possible for you to do that?
I’m going to respond to the email chain as well…

I added a couple of slides this afternoon as well as made minor edits on some others. Whoever came up with the google doc idea, it was a great one, although I did have some trouble with formatting at one point, but I think that someone else was editing at the same time as me, so it got a little testy. Looks great so far, see you all tonight.

i also went in and made some minor edits and added a couple of pages – just more visuals and a little more explanation. yes, indeed! good ideas all around.
i think it would be great for ozan to do a short video explaining his idea for the future game…and if mike cannot attend the presentation, maybe ha can, too.
i will help create the final blog, considering all the info is already in our wiki page and our google doc – shouldn’t be too hard…anyone else want to do or share or help?
